The Surreal House--1

"The Surreal House "which was holded in barbican artgallery is the first to explore the relevance of surrealism for architecture. The show described the sense of surrealism by all of the art imagines. This show revolved the surrealism to curation of the exhibition.

The Surreal House shows about 150 imaginations art works including the first generation Surrealists such as Dali,Duchamp and Giacometti. Not only the artistes with their architecture but also with more specifically the house.

The downstairs galleries will be used to represent the inside of a house. The visitor could 'see' the house in the curation of the exhibition which will be defined by sound, light and installations, all designed to affect the solipsistic sence. All of the art imagines the whole house. The architecture buils the house comes from Rebecca Horn's Concert for Anarchy (1990).The sculpture describe the house by many works. The presented works is Metal Fucking Rats by Tim & Sue(2007).The main inspiration is 'consistently inconsistent' which to representation of life with real. The film perform the house ,such as 'Meshes of the afternoon' by Maya Deren(April 29 1917).The film's narrtive is circular and repeats a number of psychologically smybolic images. It's a vasted show and the overall impression is so organization and fresh.

On the upstairs there are some wonderful works from different art style. But curators gambit peters out upstairs by the reasons of the surrealism-architecture link is revealed such as Salvador Dali's sleep(1937).

The Surreal House exhibition overall effect is interesting enough, and the exhibition form is a fresh game attempt. Myriad levels of ideas that are there for exploration and the quantity of material on display .
