There are two main exhibition in Design Museum now.In the first floor,it's the brit insurance design of the year."The Oscars o f the design world ,"showcase the most innovative and forward thinking design from around the world.
I like two of them works. The first one is the Folding Plug by Min-Kyu Choi. His re-design of this everyday object makes it fit for the twenty first century.I think this works is very common trial in everyday life. This re-design work very functional , very beneficial to people's lives. It is simple and beautiful that very suitable for modern design of the 'less is more' concept.
The second one is Blown-fabric Lanterns, Japan--Nendo.This work use special materials smash that can be manipulatedint different forms through hot press forming technology.Mutation of the virus using the fungus to elaborate the concept of the significance material.Materials not hesitate to large-scale replication, so each model is different.I like the beauty can not be copied.
In the sencond floor, the subject is Sustainable Futures. It presented around five themes:Cities,Energy,Economics,Food,Materiality and Creative citizens. It shows the changing role of the designer and reveals how design can make a difference. My favourate work is Adeventure Ecology--David de Roth child. All the materials used by a fully recyclable material. It is very usefull for sustainable futures.
Overall, this exhibition shows a very good concept what is good design .It provides a good source of advice for our essay.

Surrealism paragraph
There are several different definitions for the surrealism. It can be explaned as “a 20th-century literary and artistic movement that attempts to express the workings of the subconscious and is characterized by fantastic imagery and incongruous juxtaposition of subject matter”(Macmillan Essential Dictionary, 2003). It hold firmly to the belief free our mind in order to Bring about a fantastical, dreamy condition where the imagination and critical capacities of the “unconscious mind” are highlighted (wwww.wikipedia.com, 2006). Collina (2002) lays emphasis on other usages .It refers on how the term is also used not formally to express changing ‘juxtaposition’ or ‘non-sequiters’ that emerge in dialog or the world of art. Moreover, the writer take into consideration that how the surrealism used in critical way.

The essay plan
Title: “The difference between art and design lie not so much in how they look as in what they do . ” ( Brady ,1998 ) How far do you agree with this statement?
Approach : By analysis the similarities and the differences between art and design. The same point is that art and design are produced. It also draws parallels between art and design that the distinction is not clear in contemporary society .There are two differences . First of all, art and design face a different audience. Furthermore, the functions of art and design is also different. Design needs to solve problems for people. My view is supported by Brady's idea, so I think art and design is different.

Conclusion: -- I agree with Brady’s views, though the demarcation line between art and design is not very clearly, but there are still differences between art and design. So we can not say that art is the design or the design is art. Both of art and design have a very clear distinction. Art and design to bring the idea to different audiences. Audience Justice art work can have a variety of different ideas, but the identification of design works have the same standards there. In addition, art can not be created under the client's limitations, but the design must limit by customers demand. So I think that art and design is significantly different.
Introduction : There is indeed a great amount of thing that can be discussed about the topic of the difference between art and design for a long time. Many artists and designers often use visual methods to make art works and design works. Thus the distinction between art and design in the present of people's minds is not very clear. But I think art and design is different. I would like to discuss the following four points to discriminate art and design.
